Mods in a few lines of Luau

Make game modes, weapons, HUDs and maps for a shooter with the feel of Call of Duty 2. The server runs your mod; every player's game runs its client scripts.

The game seen through a player's eyes, with a dark box near the top that reads: Three in a row: AWP.
The game, drawing the line the killstreak guide's client script shows.
  • Mods and modules. What a mod is made of, which side runs each file, and how your files sit on top of the stock mod.
  • A killstreak. A whole feature, server and client: three kills in a row give a weapon, play a sound and show a line on the HUD.
  • Reference. Every function, method and value a mod reaches, with its limits and an example of each.
  • Making a map. Mark doors, lifts, triggers and spawn points in Blender, so a mod can move and hear them.
  • Running a server. Ports, settings, admins, bans and the rotation of maps.

The whole site is also plain files: llms.txt, an index for AI tools; api.md, the reference as one Markdown file; api.json, every item as data; and engine.d.luau, the engine’s types for luau-lsp in your editor.
